Finnishline Valen

Valen seemed to be doing well but was a little less active 6 hours before his death. Despite continuous intervention with all of the babies from the time that they were born, Valen passed over to the rainbow bridge at 4 days old to join his brother. Necropsy results revealed aspiration penumonia which may have been a result of supplementing Valen with formula while awaiting Penelope's milk to come in. We have supplemented kittens for many years but only when necessary. But this time supplementing with formula could have caused Valen to aspirate a little formula into his lungs. In retrospect he needed the formula or he would have died without it. We tried our best, but we are devastated.
